Clean Slate Recovery Facebook Group: A Digital Beacon of Hope

In the virtual space where many voices are lost in the noise of the internet, one community emerged as a beacon of hope. It was called the Clean Slate Recovery Facebook Group—a place that existed not just on screens but in the hearts of those seeking solace, connection, and understanding.

Birthed from the mission of Clean Slate Candle Co., the Facebook group had its roots in the same soil that nurtured the candle company—recovery, renewal, and rebirth. We are a couple driven by our personal experience with addiction and recovery, know that the power of community wasn’t limited to in-person gatherings. We had seen firsthand how the light of a single candle could create warmth and safety, and they believed the same was possible in the digital world.

The Facebook group was designed to be a safe space for anyone struggling with addiction or living in recovery. It has become a sanctuary where people could share their stories, and celebrate their victories—big or small. Unlike other social media spaces, this group is built on compassion, and genuine support. No judgment, no shame, just people lifting each other up one day at a time.

As the group grows, members from all over the world are joining. Some had never heard of Clean Slate Candle Co., but they were drawn to the group’s mission: to provide hope and healing for those in recovery. Every day, new members will post messages of encouragement, seeking advice or offering it. The digital community is becoming a lifeline for those who might not have access to local support groups, creating an international web of care and encouragement.

We are making it clear that the Clean Slate Recovery Facebook Group is more than just a post group — it is an extension of our candle company’s heart. Every candle that burned bright in someone’s home was a reminder that recovery was possible, and that nobody has to walk this road of life alone. We are in this together!!!

Moderators, many of whom are in recovery themselves, ensured that the space remained respectful and uplifting. There are themes: Motivationial post, Recovery questions, and Check in Friday's, each designed to keep the conversations flowing in a positive direction.

The Facebook group is quickly becoming a digital family, and the impact is undeniable. People who had never met in person are forming bonds, checking in on another during tough times, celebrating milestones like 30 days or a year sober, and even grieving together when someone lost their battle with addiction. In moments of silence or darkness, this group offers light, just like the candles that inspired it.

For many, the Clean Slate Recovery Facebook Group is more than just a community—it is a lifeline, a second chance, and a daily reminder that no matter where we were in our recovery, we were never alone.

We are ever dedicated to the mission,  and will continue to find new ways to integrate the spirit of recovery into both our business and online community. And as the group grows, so does its influence, proving that healing doesn’t just happen in face-to-face conversations—it can flourish wherever people are willing to share their light.
